Garry's Mod

Garry's Mod is a physics sandbox game first released on November 30, 2006, developed by Facepunch Studios and published by Valve on Steam.

In the game, there are no predefined goals or missions. You're simply given tools and complete freedom to play and create however you like. The sandbox supports a huge player-driven community, extensive Steam Workshop mods, and a nearly endless variety of game modes created by users, from roleplay and Prop Hunt to Trouble in Terrorist Town and custom servers. On Steam, it has earned Overwhelmingly Positive review ratings, with over 520,000 positive English reviews from players praising its flexibility and modding ecosystem.

Overall, Garry‘s Mod remains one of the most beloved and long-lasting sandbox experiences on PC.

The April 2026 Garry’s Mod update is arriving soon, with a planned release on April 29 at 3PM GMT.
